Summary
Thomas Harbin: Male Anger
From Anger to Better Relationships
What is Anger and how to recognize it? Are you angry too? How to control anger? What is the benefit of anger, and what is the harm? Why does anger not allow you to be a good husband, father, boss, friend...? We witness almost daily media reports about various types of violence - family, street, peer, traffic violence ... In the background of most of these events from the black chronicle, many of which ended tragically, there was simply uncontrolled and accumulated anger.
The author of the book, Thomas Harbin, a clinical psychologist, in this manual mainly deals with anger in men, wondering why they are violent towards those they love, i.e. family members. In the book's introduction, Harbin admits that he wrote the book for two reasons: the first was to have material for clients, men who had anger issues. The second reason is personal - he had to organize his own thoughts about the role anger played in his life. Namely, anger was prevented in front of all forms of enjoyment in his life, all interpersonal relationships were disrupted, he was on the verge of divorce and he realized that, in fact, he was constantly angry! He wrote the book to help people recognize the roots of anger, which, in his case, was hidden in the fear of expressing feelings for fear of humiliation and rejection.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE, UNDERSTAND, CHANGE?
It is typical for a person who is angry to blame others for their own anger by which they actually try to intimidate them and force them to change. The author prompts the reader to give up that idea, to grow emotionally and outgrow the position of anger.
