Summary
Scott Waltman, R. Trent Codd III, Kasey Pierce: The Stoic's Handbook
This book is a brilliant blend of old and new. Keeping the ancient roots of the philosophy of Stoicism, the authors have adapted it for a modern audience, while at the same time enriching it with insights from modern approaches such as acceptance and commitment therapy. This is an excellent and simple manual that, among other things, helps you to live according to your values, to get rid of difficult thoughts, to make room for unpleasant emotions, to be compassionate with yourself, to use your core values as a compass, and to live consciously. I highly recommend! Russ Harris, physician, therapist and author of ACT Made Simple and The Happiness Trap
