Summary
Joseph Murphy: Believe in Yourself
Long before our Bible saw the light of day, ancient wisdom said, "As a man thinks and feels, so a man becomes." This wise teaching is lost in the darkness of time; the rest was lost to ancient times.
The Bible says: "For as a man values in his heart, so is he."
Legend says that a few thousand years ago Chinese sages gathered under the leadership of a great sage to discuss how countless hordes of brutal invaders were plundering and ravaging the land. They discussed the following: "How can we preserve the ancient wisdom so that the invaders do not destroy it?"
There were many proposals: some felt that the ancient writings and symbols should be buried in the Himalayas. Others have suggested that wisdom is kept in monasteries in Tibet. Some, however, pointed out that the holy temples in India would be perfect for preserving the wisdom of their God.
