The collection contains written papers on the topics of the lectures held at the scientific colloquium, which was organized in 2016 by the University of Zadar in cooperation with the nuns and the Zadar Archdiocese on the occasion of the 950th anniversary of the memory of the Monastery of St. Mary in the grant book of King Petar Krešimir IV. The title translates as Abbess of Exceptional Nobleness, and refers to Abbess Cicha, who received the church of Saint Mary the Little from the city champions in Zadar in order to found a monastery next to it. In their works, eight authors write about the time and circumstances of the founding of the new monastery, about the importance of monasticism in the development of culture in our region, about Cicha's chronology, in which the cult of St. Anastasia and about the architecture and decoration of the church of St. Marije Mala and analyze and study the Cartulary of St. Mary. The collection improves knowledge about the first abbess of the Monastery and its church, which were published as early as 1968 in the book "Cultural Heritage of the Monastery of St. Mary in Zadar".
