The Persian language - Farsi belongs to the Iranian group of Indo-European languages. It is used as a mother tongue by about 70 million speakers in Iran, where Persian is also the official language. As a language with a very old and rich literary tradition, it had a significant impact on other languages in the neighborhood. The Persian language is written in the Arabic alphabet, from right to left. The numbers are Indian, and are written in reverse of the text, from left to right, as in Latin. The manual was written with the aim of familiarizing its users with common conversational forms in the Persian language and serves as an incentive for further familiarization with the Persian language and culture.
