Croatia and Europe. The roots of integration is a book that deals with the ancient, still current social processes of integration and disintegration. With an interdisciplinary approach, leading Croatian historians and sociologists open up a series of questions related to the origin, development and disappearance of various integration formations and forms throughout history. Specific integration processes in our area and the gradual development of wider European connectivity (from local communities to modern nations) were examined. Integration is immanent to civilization. Everything starts from the city and the system of division of labor (duties, tasks, needs...) - The system is a new feature of life, which, for the first time here in Europe, breaks down all the obstacles in front of it and becomes a winning path of development. In this sense, the book considers the thesis about the continuity of the presence of integration processes as civilizational constants...
