Sayyed Ahmad Rahnamayi: Occidentalism
The "Mulla Sadra" Foundation in Bosnia and Herzegovina published the book "Occidentalism - an overview of cultural and political trends in the West from ancient Greece to the end of the second millennium", by Sayyed Ahmad Rahnamayi, translated by Nermin Hodžić.
The review of this work was written by academician Mujo Demirović, full professor of general and medical sociology at the University of Bihać Faculty of Law, where he at one time he was also dean and rector.
He pointed out about this work: "I am sincerely pleased with the valuable book that represents a novelty in modern science and erases all prejudices that science and religion cannot be in synergy. As a counterpart to Orientalology, Occidentology is an analysis of the West, Western culture, history and philosophy... The importance of studying the West (in the broadest sense of this term) is that through critical analysis we understand what lies behind its success and progress and where its flaws, imperfections and problems come from. By understanding a circle of civilization, we actually understand complex historical processes and laws that are useful for us in many ways."
