Summary
Stipe Botica: New Croatian epitaphs
In this book, epitaphs are published that have a recognizable literary structure and can present a mirror image of Croatian epitaph and contribute to the possible typology of this literary genre in the Croatian area. All the transcripts remained in the form as they were transmitted by the recorders, both in the languages in which they were written and the way they were written, predominantly, of course, in the Croatian language. There are, of course, also in other languages: Latin, Italian, German, Serbian, Slovenian, Czech, Hungarian and others. More than eighteen hundred inscriptions from almost two hundred cemeteries in Croatia and from cemeteries among Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina are covered. For clarity, they are arranged in alphabetical order. The notes list all epitaph recorders and recorders, some other relevant information and the place where the original documentation is kept.
