This literary collection is the result of the efforts of thirty authors to present the scientific and literary activities of Branko (Drechler) Vodnik (Varaždin, February 26, 1879 - Zagreb, June 14, 1926), one of the most respected Croatian literary historiographers, who contributed "to the development of the science of literature with a series of important literary-historical works created in the first half of the twentieth century. Among them, the "History of Croatian Literature" and the book "From Humanism to the End of the 18th Century" stand out in particular literature of older periods and as such stands as a solid foundation of excellent literary and historical contributions."
