Rašić, Ante, Croatian painter and sculptor (Imotski, 13. XII. 1953). Graduated in 1977 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (N. Reiser); he was an associate of the Master's workshop Lj. Ivančić in Zagreb (1977–78) and the sculpture studio of M. Charpentier in Paris (1978–79). Since 1995, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. Within the framework of conceptual, primary and processual art, he builds his expression, which is characterized by the closed form, plastic purity and white color (Stool with bags, 1976). After the 1980s, he made collages and reliefs (Bijele ruze, 1979) and paper and metal sculptures of dynamic rhythms and free associations (Plavi govornik, 1984; Noon, 1984–85). He performed several ambient installations with mirrors (Tisućiujedanpogled, 1998–2003). He deals with graphic and industrial design.
