Summary
Feđa Vukić: Croatian peculiarities: theory and practice of identity systems
The book brings together the columns that this famous Croatian design theorist published in "Privredno vjesnik" over two years. Through the aforementioned series of texts, the author talks about the competitiveness of the Croatian economy and the issue of identity in his presentation. In this sense, he analyzes local peculiarities as the foundations of identity, emphasizing the fact that precisely these peculiarities should be "branded" because they form what makes Croatia recognizable, that is, its "identity system". In this way, the book can be read as a kind of catalog of Croatian peculiarities (good and bad), supplemented by various examples from Croatian "design practice" (for example, the redesign of the "Marasquina" bottle).
