German theological-polemical writing from of the Reformation period, printed in Magdeburg in 1550 by Michael Lotter. The work refers to the so-called The Leipzig Interim, i.e. the draft of the conclusion of the Leipzig Land Assembly from December 1548, was created in the context of the discussions after the Augsburg Interim. The edition brings the text of the Leipzig document, along with an extensive preface, scholia and critical comments by Nikola Gallus and Matija Vlačić Ilirik, one of the most important Croatian Protestant theologians of the 16th century.
In terms of content, the book is not just a copy of an official document, but its polemical edition intended to explain and justify the opposition that existed in Magdeburg to the Leipzig Interim. After the presentation of the creation of the document, the Interim text itself follows, followed by additional explanations, answers, conclusions and other related texts. The work belongs to the so-called to the adiaphoristic dispute, one of the important theological debates within early Lutheranism in the middle of the 16th century.
The participation of Matija Vlačić Ilirik, an Istrian reformer and one of the prominent Protestant theologians of the 16th century, is of particular value for the Croatian cultural context.
