Summary
Gaston Bachelard: The Intuition of the Moment
What is time? What is the difference between "moment" and "duration"? We perceive time by moments, groups of points, which merge into the perspective of the present, as we remember, not days, weeks, months, but moments in their uniqueness and multiplicity. In his book The Intuition of the Moment, the French philosopher, epistemologist of the European format Gaston Bachelard (1884 - 1962) advocates, in opposition to Bergson, the ethics of living the moment, which gives us the possibility to dwell in time poetically.
