A collection of selected works presented at the international musicological and interdisciplinary meeting "Music, Arts and Politics: Revolutions and Restorations in Europe and Croatia 1815-1860" was published. organized and held on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the composer Vatroslav Lisinski (1819 – 1854) and the 160th anniversary of the death of ban, politician and military leader Josip Jelačić (1801 – 1859) in HAZ in 2019. The fundamental guiding ideas were to bring music, fine arts, literature and theater into broader connections, i.e. the contextualization of culture in general in social and political phenomena within which individual works of art and movements were created, and the contextualization of individual regional and national phenomena in broader supranational frameworks in the era of revolutions and socio-cultural turmoil.
