Josip Sever (Blinjski Kut near Sisak, 1938 - Zagreb, 1989). Poet and translator. During his lifetime, he published only two collections of poetry, Diktator and Anarhokor. Josip Sever had a great influence on Croatian poetry in the 1970s and 1980s, and this influence continues today.
Sever is simply a priest of poetry, fanatically devoted to his cult, vague like any cult and like any deep devotion, which certainly inspires respect in the age of poets who struggle to hide the masks of officials. (Veselko Tenžera)
