The first edition of the collection of love poems Djulabie (originally printed as Djulabie: love offers for Ljubica) by Stanko Vraz was published in 1840. in Zagreb
The poems in the first edition are dedicated to Ljubica Cantilly from Samobor (niece of Ljudevit Gaja), who was Vraz's great but unrequited love. Ljubica later married someone else and died early, which deeply marked Vraz's life and later work. The very name "djulabije" comes from the Turkish word for red apples
