The author has imaginatively combined her storytelling skills with the knowledge of ethnological research on the Međimurje folk tradition. This is how twelve fairy tales with a connected plot were created, the main characters of which are the girl Jana and the young men Vanča and Imbra. The book contains an extensive glossary of important terms, dictionaries of Štokavism and Kajkavism, and an article on the Međimurje folk song. The illustrations were made by Krešimir Zimonić, a famous cartoonist, graphic designer and author of seven animated films.
