Seven mythical years have passed since the publication of Tanja Mravak's first collection of stories We have to talk, which has not stopped being talked about. The collection of eleven stories Our Womanbrings a new, even greater quality to the foundation, which has already won four awards for literature.

Of the eleven stories, two, "Meso" and "Duša kuće" talk about love relationships, while the others talk about different family relationships and their actors, be it from the perspective of a lover-manipulator, as in the anthology's title story and a psychological study.

It is difficult to describe how much. few words Tanja Mravak achieves a lot, if we knew that we would be her, and she would not be the one and only. With minimal and unobtrusive language, realistic means, mainly dialogues that a good screenwriter would kill for, Tanja's stories reveal the convulsions in the characters and weave dynamic fables about the lives of ordinary people in ordinary situations that reveal the spoken or more often hushed up, as a rule, internal, personal drama. From an innocent situation, a grotesque rolls out, a comedy that is never just funny, but also brings with it some melancholy, sadness or sympathy, empathy even with a pathological one - grandfather arsonist, for example.

This book is also a map of our patriarchy. The characters have clearly defined gender roles, some are their servants, others transcend them, and one mouse in the story can be enough to change those roles. These stories talk about little things and their terrible consequences.
