Netherlands, 1944. As World War II shakes Europe, young Audrey Hepburn tries to escape reality by discovering her love for dancing. Between everyday horror and omnipresent hunger, she dreams of becoming a prima ballerina. But a different future was written for her.
After the war, talent will take Audrey straight to Hollywood. He would soon become famous for his roles in the films Roman Holiday, My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffany's, acting alongside such big stars as Gregory Peck and Humphrey Bogart. One question, however, will haunt the Hollywood icon throughout her career: how to resist the pressures of popularity and not get lost?
Audrey's private life will certainly not be perfect. She will feel lonely with her beloved man, she will even think that he chose her solely for fame and not for love. She will lose several long-awaited pregnancies, give birth to a stillborn, but she will never give up in achieving her dreams - even though she will have to sacrifice what is most precious to her for them.
