Summary
Natalia Ginzburg: This is how it was
Along with the bullet, suppressed anger, despair and fear come out of the revolver, and the inner world of the heroine begins to pour out before the reader. The confession of the unnamed woman is honest and raw, without heavy metaphors and ornate images, she simply tells us That's how it was. The hurricane of her words resonates strongly on the pages of this book, revealing the history of an empty and abruptly ended marriage. The story of interpersonal relationships takes place on the stage of exhausting and strict social expectations that make no successful relationship possible. Burdened and blinded by their own grief, the heroes cannot fully experience each other, which is why there are no negative characters in this novel - they are all equally bad.
