Summary
Arthur Conan Doyle: The Parasite
Arthur Conan Doyle often used frightening elements in his detective stories - for example in The Hound of the Baskervilles - but, in a rational world where all mysteries can be explained, these elements are clearly not to be understood seriously. However, horror readers will remember that Doyle has written numerous horror stories in which the world is not rational, the mystery cannot be explained, and the terrifying and supernatural reigns triumphant.
