In the diary letters of Branislava Branka Petrović, eighteen years of unregretted absence of Aleksandar Saša Petrović, the husband and world-class director who included our cinematography at the very top of European culture, and Dragan, the only son whose medical incompetence suddenly ended his life, are summarized. the modern world and its injustices, divisions, misconceptions, incurable hatred, but also about the social problems depicted in Petrović's films.
In life, as well as in the film, Petrović discussed issues of authority and power, freedom and the position of the individual in a totalitarian regime, which is why he was often the target of attacks by communist officials.

Saša Petrović's films won three Pula "Golden Arenas", and Skupljači perja (1967), the first feature film in the Romani language, was awarded the Grand Jury Prize and nominated for an Oscar.
