The style of the text in its final form is, of course, mine, because the writer's voice is unstoppable, especially when almost six hundred pages need to be compressed into less than one hundred and fifty. I tried, nevertheless, to keep in several places the typically Chilean expressions of the original narration and to respect the storyteller's opinion without exception"
