Summary
Charlie Fletcher: The Silver Tongue
In the last part of Charlie Fletcher's trilogy, the last signs of life in London fade under a blanket of snow. A thick and impenetrable fog hovers over the city, which does not bode well - behind its cloak, beings are grouped into which the icy darkness of Evil creeps in, led by the main villain, an immortal man named the Walker.
Through this wasteland, the boy George and his companion Edie, a girl with the gift of clairvoyance, are followed by the Gunner, a statue from the First World War, the ancient British Queen Boadicea with her daughters, the golden-haired flying maiden Ariel, King Richard the Lionheart and other mirrors.
However, both the boy and the girl will have to find the key to their destinies on their own: it's up to George to stop the war, and it's up to Edie to discover the secret of her past mistress.
The Timekeeper, The Dictionary, Queen Boadicea, The Black Friar, Ariel, Little Tragedy, The Dragon of Temple Bar, the Waterspout named Piper, The Queen America, the ghostly Minotaur, the Sphinx sisters and numerous soldiers and statesmen of bronze and stone take part in an unusual and fantastic battle for London.
