Summary
Mario Puzo: The Law of Silence
"The Law of Silence" (Serbian edition, originally Omertà) was published in 2000 and is Mario Puzo's last novel, completed shortly before his death.
The book is the final part of his unofficial mafia trilogy, which includes the classics The Godfather and The Last Don. The story follows Astorre Viola, the adopted son of retired mob boss Don Raymonde Aprile. After Don is murdered outside the church, Astorre must take responsibility for the family and protect Don's biological children, all while facing FBI agents and rival clans in a world where the ancient law of silence - omertà - is slowly crumbling.
