Summary
Vanessa Montfort: Women who buy flowers
In a small neighborhood in the center of Madrid full of theaters and galleries, where modern people of different backgrounds live and archaeologists search for Cervantes' bones, in a flower shop with the poetic name Angel's Garden, five women buy flowers from the mysterious Olivia. But none of them buys it for themselves: one for their secret love, another for the office, a third to paint it, a fourth for clients, and the last for the deceased. They are:
Marina – suffers from co-driver syndrome: she is lost because she is left without the captain of her life.
Casandra – her handicap is that she is a superwoman: professional success is more important to her than her private life.
Gala – firmly stands for the belief: a woman today has all the rights, except to grow old.
Aurora – is a true Little Mermaid: the more she hurts, the more in love she is.
Victoria – she decided to be everything: the best mother, the best worker, the best daughter; therefore omnipotence is her syndrome.
Women Who Buy Flowers is a fun, romantic and exciting story about the friendship of five completely different women and their search for independence and the realization of their dreams. Vanessa Montfort reconciled the seemingly impossible: her novel is easy to read and deep to think about.
