Summary
George Orwell: Animal Farm
Although it was published immediately after the Second World War, this allegorical satire, only small in scope, still captivates today with the power of imagination, deep-minded and fluttering treatment of a dramatically serious topic - let's remind you of the well-known fact that Orwell wrote his universally recognized masterpiece motivated by the deviation of the Bolshevik revolution into a totalitarian regime. Placing the action in the animal world, the author talks about human impotence to resist the call of power, a weakness so repulsive and so attractive, since time immemorial characteristic of special people in all, smaller or larger, better or worse organized societies. Let the animals forgive us for the offensive parallel with humans, but it is hard not to notice that on our "Human Farm" the truth and historical facts are also subject to daily changes, and there are too many of them "equal to others"... But that is another topic - let's rather indulge in enjoying this supreme achievement of world literature.
