Pulling his roots from the "škoj" of brazen beauty of Brač, and writing the book, with great love and gusto, Marin Rendić recalled all his past summers on his island. Through the recipes and the written lines, he remembered the scent of lunch time, when you couldn't walk through the streets without being overwhelmed by the sweet smell of the kitchen and grilled sardines on the grill. He remembered his non, his gentle look and the fisherman's hand that had been cracked from the frieze.
This is a fisherman who is not only a manual for him, but also something more, a fisherman who cannot hide that all his civilizational and cultural roots are hidden at the bottom of every stream, skrovada, piata and building.
