Ivan Jurašić: Dizionario italiano - illirico. After school, he worked as a financial officer and from 1871 as a notary in the Land Registry Office of the Royal Court in Rijeka. Although without formal philological training, motivated by the introduction of the Croatian language in Rijeka schools in 1860 and with the proclaimed goal of deepening Italian-Croatian relations (which he stated in a program brochure printed in Rijeka in 1862), he compiled an Italian-Croatian dictionary in 1863. Its value is primarily historical, and the lack of greater professional foundation was already established when it appeared (A. Veber Tkalčević). He then compiled a manual in Italian for the regiment in contacts with the state administration and the judiciary L'Avocatto popolare (1865), and in 1878 published an updated and improved Croatian version of that manual Narodni Croatian attorney or Advisory manual.
