O srpskom vrhovnom bogu

Čajkanović Veselin

Summary

Veselin Čajkanović: About the Serbian Supreme God

The study of folk creativity led Čajkanović to dedicate himself to researching the pre-Christian beliefs of the Serbian people. At the time when he began his research, there were no reliable sources for the study and reconstruction of pre-Christian religion, and folk beliefs and traditional folk beliefs were imposed as a starting point. Using the comparative method and carefully analyzing Serbian customs, customs and traditions, Čajkanović successfully reconstructed the pre-Christian religion of the Serbian people to a large extent. His most significant book in this field is About the Serbian Supreme God, published during his lifetime in 1941.
