Summary
Mario-Paul Cassar: Massage
Complete course
The practice of massage is several thousand years old, but it first appeared in its modern form at the beginning of the nineteenth century in Europe. Combined with exercise, it was a therapy for many ailments, including arthritis and rheumatism. Since it was performed exclusively in hospitals in the beginning, it enjoyed a reputation. However, it gradually became more and more widespread, its application became everyday, so massage significantly lost its credibility. Fortunately, in recent times it has been proudly accepted for its therapeutic value. One of the reasons for this could be the growing popularity of alternative and complementary medicine. But it is still possible to do something so that massage can gain the full public recognition and reputation it deserves. I hope that this book will help in that at least to some extent.
