Summary
Snežana Vesnić: Architectural concept
Object of reality and subject of illusion
The author, known above all for her various projects for which she has been awarded and nominated for the biggest awards in the field of architecture, here thematizes what drives her work and practice as an architect in general: architectural concept. In architecture, both in our country and in the world, an architect can very rarely express and explain what he does and thus contribute to the autonomy of architecture in relation to other disciplines and areas of knowledge.
From the review by Vladan Đokić
This book carries out significant reconstructions within philosophical terminology, the order of terms and concepts that philosophers use in different languages and in different cultures. The author's ambition to establish a new and justified architectural terminology simultaneously disturbs and changes some established meanings of words. After these conceptual or architectural interventions, the opinion necessarily becomes more concrete and precise.
