Teologijsko-politička rasprava

De Spinoza Benedict

Summary

Benedictus De Spinoza: A Theological-Political Discussion

Bilingual edition

Dutch philosopher Benedict de Spinoza (1632-1677) is one of the great ethicists and connoisseurs of social issues of his time. He discussed God, metaphysics, man and his happiness, Descartes, politics and famous religious books, presenting his views rationally and critically, and remained, despite angry reactions, a current and inevitable philosopher until the new European spiritual movements. "Theological-Political Treatise" (Theological-Political Treatise) is one of the more valuable works that talks about government and freedom of thought, religion and the state, and in which it points to religious and national prejudices, in the sense of human susceptibility to false ideas, a general departure from reason, which creates social and other conflicts. If there is a mind, there is no need for law, the state should support mutual relations by supporting spiritual freedom, with the absence of any fear. The affairs of the state must be open to the public, as this prevents abuse and removes doubts about the general well-being. With his writings, Spinoza influenced the greatest minds of his time and more recently. This edition is bilingual, a reprint of the "Zagreb copy". It was translated by Ozren Žunec.
