Summary
Christopher Harmon: Terrorism Today
Terrorism today is considered a major threat to human rights and political and economic stability in many countries, as well as the international community as a whole. The book is much more than an authoritative guide to contemporary terrorist groups and trends. The author does not support Chomsky's thesis that the United States is most responsible for encouraging terrorism, but believes that contemporary terrorism has its main sources in the problems of the Third World and that it represents the main danger for new young democracies. Terrorist groups, anti-government organizations or supporters of the regime are the greatest danger for the citizens of their own country.
