Summary
Gordana Vlajčić: Bolshevik Antifascism
The book by Gordana Vlajčić, a retired professor of history at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, deals with Bolshevik and communist anti-fascism, which is a particularly interesting topic in Croatia in view of twenty years of revisionist attempts to equate Croatian communists, anti-fascists and Ustashas. In the book, the author raises a number of interesting and important scientific and political questions - to what extent was communist anti-fascism a response to Nazi anti-communism, what was the relationship between liberal, democratic, communist and other anti-fascisms, and why exactly was social democracy perceived as the greatest enemy of communism in the first half of the 20th century?
