In the light of contemporary historiographical and political theories and sociological approaches, this collection of texts analyzes the situation and relations in Croatia after independence in 1991 and illuminates the most important dimensions of post-war political, social and cultural development.
The topics are: politics in Croatia since 1990, Serbs in Croatia after the war, civil-military relations, the impact of the war on economy, the Catholic Church and its role in politics and society, non-nationalist culture, contemporary Croatian literature, homosexuals and lesbians, anarchist activism, foreign relations, the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia... and a number of others.
