"This history of the Serbian Orthodox Church includes all the areas in which the Serbs continue from the first decades of the 7th century to our days. It is published in the world in a condensed scope according to the lectures of His Majesty the Serbian King Alexander I, and can serve as a textbook in Serbian seminaries.
It is written: on the basis of studies and records of writers, monuments, books, debates, monographs and magazines from the domestic and foreign literature, from Porphyrogenet to our days.
How difficult it is to systematically write the entire history of the Serbian Orthodox Church, even now, those who deal with it know best: that there are explanations for which no information has been found so far. Every better historian will try to fill them in and illuminate them many gaps and inaccuracies remain.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina (Hum) the history of the Serbian Orthodox Church is the most complicated from the very beginning until 1557. There are several reasons for this: the desire of these areas for their own separation and independence; the tyrannical actions of the Roman popes; the conquering intentions of the Hungarian kings and the Bogumil heresy.
