the most controversial figures in world astronomy. He is a member of the seafaring family Gopčević, which originated from Poda and Orahovac in Boka kotorska

href="https://hr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mali_Lo%C5%A1inj">Mali Lošinj built an observatory, which he called after his wife "Manora Sternwarte", Observatory "Manora". Under the pseudonym Leo Brenner, he publishes maps of many observations of Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. In recognition of his extensive work, publishing and hospitality towards those who visit him in Mali Lošinj, a crater on the moon is named Leo Brenner. Shortly after the start of the observatory's work, doubts about the credibility of his observations began to appear, so astronomical journals refused to publish his articles. As a reaction to that, 1899 he started a private magazine "Astronomische Rundschau", which was published until 1909, when he left astronomy and Mali Lošinj and went out into the world as an adventurer and musician, North America, Europe. The First World War was welcomed in Berlin, where all traces of him are lost, so the year of his death is unknown.
