Psalms and canticles
This collection, which is offered to our public for the first time in this form, would like to serve those believers, individuals and communities, who have a greater need for praying and meditating on biblical songs (psalms) and lyrical texts (canticles) that Christian believers encounter in the liturgy, and especially in the prayer of the hours of the people of God. the ancient literature of Mesopotamia, Egypt and Palestine and reflect the religious sentiments of the Old Testament chosen people in their sorrows and joys, anxieties and wages, in victories and defeats as well as in invoking God's help and giving thanks for the great deeds they have done. There are canticles or hymns in both the Old and New Testaments, and the early Christian Church took them into the liturgy, reading them in the light of the events of Jesus Christ. The text of St. Paul in Col 3, 16: In every wisdom teach yourselves and understand! Sing praises to God from the heart with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs!
