Summary
David McKean: Mouse, Bird, Snake, Wolf
Once upon a time, the gods created a beautiful world. In it were mountains, seas, incredible beasts and people like us. Then the gods got tired and lazy. Now they sit and snack on cookies and take a long nap on the clouds. But the world under the sky is not over. There are still many gaps in it.
Harry, Sue and Little Ben decided to fill the gaps left by the gods. They looked at the world, and then deep inside themselves. They made one chirping mouse creature, one feathered flying creature, and one reptilian scaly creature. and dare they make a shaggy howling creature with great big teeth? Do they dare to make... a wolf?
