Summary
Gian Biagio Conte: Roman Literature from the Early Republic to Augustus
This entire work is not reduced to a chronological list of authors and periods, but represents the flow and development of the genre, giving both a horizontal and a vertical section. Although framed, Conte's history of Roman literature is not final, as it opens up the possibility to start from the starting point on one of the offered paths, and maybe even to start new ones.
