Summary
Ramiro De Maeztu: Don Juan, Don Quixote and Celestina
Essays filled with sympathy
Most of these attempts at interpretation were published on the pages of the newspaper "La Prensa", some in their current form, with very minor changes, and some so reworked that only the same theme can be recognized in them. Even at the time when they were written, it was obvious that they would be combined into a whole called: "Essays filled with sympathy", because they were created with tears, laughter and dreams of happiness, just like the Spanish literary myths themselves - Don Quixote!, Don Juan!, Celestina! - whose multiple vibrations we still feel. Since I have published them in the form of a book, it is only fair that I mention on the first pages the name of the famous journalist who brought his daily newspaper to the perfection that allows him, after providing us with daily information, to devote himself to lasting values.
