Silvia Dražić: Real and Imaginary Worlds of Judita Šalgo
Starting from the assumption that literature is never completely independent of the conditions and places of its creation, the author establishes a narrative for reading Judita Šalgo's prose works through the interaction of three theoretical and artistic paradigms: neo-avant-garde, postmodernism and feminism. Narrative and genre strategies are interpreted through textual and intertextual analysis of the writer's choices and thematic preoccupations. Her unique author's handwriting is described through a combination of neo-avant-garde experimental practices and postmodernist poetics, with an essayistic aspiration to translate each material into the neutrality of what is contemplated and observed from that distanced position.
