At the end of Turkish rule in Bosnia, the process of Europeanization of Bosniaks begins. It began in 1865, when the Central Government in Constantinople passed the Constitutional Law, according to which the Bosnian Vilayet could have its own printing house. The Europeanization of Bosniak literature began with the publication of the newspaper Bosanski vijesnik, which was printed in Cyrillic in the Serbo-Croatian language and Ijekavi.
