Goran Petercol (1949) is a world-renowned visual artist who reached the peak of his artistic affirmation with installations with light, accepted as an original contribution to the reflection of artistic expression within the framework of the international art scene. His work varies from drawings, paintings, through site-specific installations, sculptures, video works and installations in the medium of light.
He exhibited at numerous exhibitions such as the Trigon in Graz (1989, 1992), the Biennale in Sao Paolo (1994), the Biennale in Venice (1995) and the Biennale in Istanbul (1995), then in London at the International Symposium of Shadows (1996), Art East 2000 + in Ljubljana and Innsbruck (2000), Aspects/Positions -50 Years of Art in Central Europe 1949-1999 in Vienna, Budapest and Barcelona (2000), Lux Europa, Copenhagen (2002), Modesty in Galeria Škuc, Ljubljana (2003), Blut & Honig, Sammlung Essl, in Vienna (2003), Light Art from Artificial Light, Museum of Contemporary Art Karlsruhe (2005), etc.
