Damir Barbarić: The Riddle of Art

The articles collected in this book are expanded and prepared for publication at the philosophical symposium "Thinking about Art" held in Varaždin in 2002. The purpose of this gathering was, first of all, to raise awareness of the need for an all-round consideration of problems related to art as a whole, as well as its various types and aspects, both those inherited from a thousand-year-old philosophical tradition and those that have proven to be challenging innovations only in the modern and contemporary era. In doing so, an attempt was made to approach them from different points of view, relying on different methodological procedures and with the use of different terminology.
