Summary
Pierre Clastres: Archeology of violence
Let's consider the rich ethnographic literature that for several decades has been trying to describe primitive societies, to understand their way of functioning: when the question of violence is raised (which is very rare), it is mainly intended to show the extent to which these societies tend to be controlled, limited by laws, rituals; in short, try to reduce it if not cancel it. Violence is emphasized, but above all to show the horror it causes among primitive peoples, so that in the end it can be established that these are societies against violence.
