First edition. Two volumes (on the covers Erster Theil, Zweiter Theil, but the author states in the preface that these are volumes (Band), not parts). Sadržaj pojedinog sveska na kraju sveska. Notes below the text. Several illustrations in the text. Multifold sheet with table Allgemeine Tabelle der Volksmenge der Griechisch-Nichtuniirten in ungrischen Landen, nach der Conscription vom Jahre 1797 in the second volume between p. 70 and 71. The author came up with the idea to write a book about Slavonia only when he returned home from a multi-year stay (September 1809 - May 1812) in Slavonia. He published a large part of the contents of the book in magazines before its printing, while begging readers for corrections of possible shortcomings. The author was also greatly helped by the individuals he met during his stay in Slavonia, and with whom he maintained contact through correspondence. The first volume, along with introductory notes and memories of the journey from Banska Bystrica to Pakrac, consists of three parts: in the first, the author gives an overview of the main natural, geographical and historical features of Slavonia, in the second, an overview of cities, significant villages and spas, and the historical topography of Slavonia, while in the third, he describes in detail the Slavonian regiment, the prince's characteristics, language, morals, way of life, and the like. The second volume is divided into seven chapters: in the first two, which take up more than two-thirds of the volume, the author describes the Orthodox Church and its education in Slavonia, in the following four chapters he writes about literature and Serbian writers in Slavonia, civil justice, Military Territory and the vicinity of the Ottomans. The last chapter is an overview of the cultural situation in Slavonia. The author wrote this work without any literary ambitions, trying to occupy the reader exclusively with the content, i.e. to describe and inform.
