Summary
Remi Brague: The Wisdom of the World
The concept of the world is one of the most enigmatic that confronts thought. In this book, Brague succeeds in presenting the history of human thought and everyday experience of worldliness in a reviewed, receptive and interesting way, both in European culture, following its understanding until modern times, and in Islamic and Jewish ones, showing their inseparability from European, both ancient pagan and Christian culture. Brague also introduces the reader to aspects that are closely related to cosmological issues such as theological, ethical and aesthetic questions, the question of the other.
