Summary
Jean Grondin: Introduction to Philosophical Hermeneutics
Jean Grondin's book "Introduction to Philosophical Hermeneutics" presents an overview of the history of hermeneutics, i.e. philosophical hermeneutics, which is both suitable as a university handbook, but also has an extremely interpretive, authorial quality that makes this book a respectable academic read. In an extremely competent manner, the author presents the history of hermeneutics from its beginnings to its climax in contemporary philosophy, with a look at its reception in contemporary, non-hermeneutic philosophy. The book has been translated into more than ten foreign languages.
